Last Minute Escape

Last Saturday I went to Poring Hotsprings, Ranau. I supposed to go work on that day, however I didn't feel like in a work mode. I have this empty feeling lately, I'm not sure why & what is that but, honestly I'm so insecure with 'something'. I have too much negative thoughts on that matter & it's not only stressed me out but someone out there feeling it as well. So, without any proper plan I decided to go out somewhere far away out of here. I found Poring Hotsprings to be my destination, the place I never go before. I think it would be exciting, to find myself caught in a beautiful creation of God. I believe by traveling somewhere near or far, I'll find myself. All this while, I spent searching for someone else .. I should have been finding myself. This is part I, another part is on planning ;)

Along the Journey

It's 10.30 in the morning, after having my breakfast I started my way to there. It took me 2 hours & half to arrive. Along the way I can see the beautiful view. I stopped at Kinabalu Park enjoying the fresh cold air & the flora & fauna. Then I continued my way to Poring, there were many cars side of the road. I can hear the sounds of gong usually used in a wedding ceremony. The reminder of my village came up at sudden, how I miss home.

Finally I arrived Poring at 1.30 pm. I can't wait to explore the hidden natural flora & fauna. So, I went to registration counter to pay entry fee is about RM3. Before thinking to have a along walk, I had my lunch first. I didn't want to take risk of having gastric on the way. 

With the guide of a friend I started my way to canopy walkway. It is 157.8 meters long and 41 meters high, to cross the suspension bridge. Those who have high blood and fobia were not allowed to cross the bridge. I was stuck in the canopy walkway about 1 hour because there were many people queue up waiting for turn. So, an advice if you plan for one day trip here, you should go on weekdays which is less people to come. 

After the canopy walkway, I was headed to Poring's stream. I need to cancel the plan to bath there, it's already 3.30pm I afraid I couldn't make my way home to Kota Kinabalu on time. Plus, the water is too cold! ;-D Next is, guess what .. after getting tired on a long walking, I got myself in the bath tub enjoying the hot sulphurous spring. I can smell the sulphur too, it's a bad smell. haha! 

Before leaving the place I still able to get myself in the swimming pool. It was a long time I didn't swim after the river near my house is not safe anymore. Even though there are  many places I haven't visit yet like butterfly farm, tropical gardens, Poring Orchid & the roller coaster pool, but I really enjoyed my last minute trip to Poring Hotsprings. Last minute travel is working! 

End of the day

On the way back home, I can see many stalls from the side of the road. They sell all kinds of fruits, foods, and vegetables. I bought a very spicy sambal to take it home as Ole-ole. At time I arrived home, I feel so sleepy and my legs hurt. Anyway, thanks God I arrived home safely. Big Thanks to friend who took my pictures all the days. I bet will go here again to explore the missing part! ;)

Behind the scene
(i) Canopy walkway: People are not allowed to capture photos & bring the camera in. Those who wanted to bring should pay around RM5 to the counter. But I didn't. I hide the cam, they wouldn't know ;-p

(ii) Bath Tub:  It's a common thing when a Mat Salleh wears only fit orange underwear. He looks sexy with his moving scrotum walking & greeting people around him to seek for attention. So annoying that he also give a free show in the swimming pool to the girls ;-D
