I am a child of divorced parents

I am a child of divorced parents, I am. 

  

I never thought, this will be a part of my life. Nobody wants this kind of situation to be inside one's life. I thank you I have been grown accustomed to it.

I'm writing to express my feeling of being one of them children with divorced parents. Every day I wish that they my dad & mom will be back together again. At one time, I give up and just let it be. I don't want to care anymore cos' they are dominated by ego. I can't help.

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deut. 31:6 A word of God that inspired me to be strong till' now. 

Dad & mom had a fight that day. That is the beginning of the story. Dad never come home, he decided to go. We the siblings have persuaded dad many times to come back home. He did not listen, he feels comfortable to be alone, single again. But he did not know, his children out of here are crazy for his coming back. He did not know that mom missed him a lot.

 When I come home, I will stare long at mom's face secretly. Her face & smile tell a lot of things she can't express. Mom doesn't want to talk about dad, but she didn't realise she has mentioned 'dad' in our conversation. Sometimes. When we look at the photo album of my brother's wedding, she will at least talk about dad's appearance in the wedding ceremony and then smile.

I'm sad. I'm really sad. I got the blues. I don't wanna cry, crying is just a symbol that you're weak. Dude, I know it isn't. I can't stop the tears from falling down my face, I try and hold them back but I can't. It's over.

Things just weren't the same after dad left. There is no more fights no more loud speaker in the morning waking up us, no more helping mom to work ... no more dinner together. No more. We the siblings are lucky to experience all of this unexpected thing while we are grown up already. Imagine if, there is one of us still a child. I don't want imagine it.

We still hope one day that they will be back together again, though it is real impossible. Nothing is impossible dough. In this moment, prayer is needed the most. Cos' when we pray, we open the door for God to come into our problems and situations and work on them. I believe while we can’t really change people and make them love God, He can minister to their hearts and reach them. That's the power of prayer!

Departing ....

Day by day, and with each passing moment, strength I find to confront it. I'm glad, we the siblings are just fine after over 8 months. Thank you Lord, for everything you have given us .. in my family. If by chance, my siblings read this, I wanted them to be strong & know what matters the most is the relationship with God :-) I love all of you!
