Interview - Pegawai Imigresen KP17 (19/06/2013)

As stated in my offer letter, I have interview today for Immigration Officer KP17. I decided a day before to not attend the interview since I have less confidence on the physical test, plus I'm a degree holder in education which is out & the maximum qualification entry for that job is just SPM holder. I was confused because according to my friend's experience, the interviewer will simply asking you to go home after knowing you're degree holder. 

Even so, I have took a leave for my interview 2 weeks before; I was working as research assistant with company website newspaper online, just in case I change my mind. & my plan is if I don't go for the interview I'll go somewhere out of here, rocking the world. So what happened this early morning, while I was still on bed thinking whether to go or not, I got this sudden reminder of my dad, sister, friends & my lovely uncle .. hoping that I attend & pass the interview. 

It's 8.30 in the morning, I came late for the interview luckily ... many of the candidates still waiting for their turn for physical test, and guess what .. I was the last candidate out of 50 candidates. In fact, I don't feel nervous, I have set my mind that I just coming there to fulfill my family's wish .. & I wanted to know if I pass the physical test. So this is what's going on during the day.

Physical Test

First you will have physical test which you are in sport attire, you need to bring in along your IC, offer letter & a form that been given during registration. So, you gotta remove your shoes at time you enter the room, then you will have colour & eyes test. Next is, they will measure your tall & weight, so if you pass the BMI you'll go to the next step that is doing marching. Marching lets them know your body position, hands, and legs are in good shape One advice for those who are not achieve the required height, you automatically fail the physical test. They will have no compromise for the height. After that, for women, they will ask you to remove your t-shirt to see whether you got tatto or  not. It will be done by woman officer too, don't worry. For men, they will measure your chest measurement in time you do inhale & exhale breathe. After that, you will asking to sit for a while for result. They will call you, & say you pass or not. So if you pass, you will be given the physical test result for interview purpose. I passed the physical test! ;-D

Interview Session 

Those who pass the physical test, you need to change to formal attire to attend the interview. I was the last candidate for the interview too, & guess what while most of them busy with their reading I take it easy by watching the television in front of me, not because I know everything but I don't want to stress myself with the future questions being asked soon. I read a little about Immigration before,for sure. So, I think we don't have to read again while waiting for our turn to come, it will burden you more. Be cool! ;-P 

This is the questions that being asked by the interviewer, so you find your own answer for all.

A: Me, S: interviewer (S for the interviewer name)

S: Perkenalkan diri anda.
A: Saya ... bla... bla..
S: Apa yang anda faham tentang pegawai yang beruniform?
A: Mereka nampak hensem, dan segak ;-D
S: Apa ciri-ciri yang ada pada anda yang boleh kami pertimbangkan untuk menjadi pegawai imigresen?
A: Saya seorang yang aktif dan tangkas, saya boleh tangkap itu pendatang tanpa izin.
S: Apa yang anda faham tentang tegas?
A: Tegas dalam menjalankan tugas, membuat keputusan ...bla...bla..
S: Pada pendapat anda, wajar kah ujian pancaindera dilakukan sebelum interview?
A: Pendapat saya ialah.. kabur-kabur... hehe bla...
S: Anda rasa selain daripada ujian yang dilalui sebentar tadi, apa yang boleh ditambah lagi? ada cadangan?
A: Hurmm.. saya rasa next time boleh minta calon-calon buat latihan lari-lari anak ;-p
S: Okey, soalan terakhir. Jabatan Imigresen terletak di kementerian mana?
A: Kementerian Dalam Negeri
S: Ada apa-apa soalan, cik A
A: Hurm .. adakah saya diterima? :-D

There's a big chance I messed up my interview! Anyway, stay cool baby ;-D Most of the questions I answered with end laugh. Weird is, they also laugh all the time. Haish ...! So, gud luck those who are going to do the same interview like me ;-) Caiyo caiyo.
