That moment when somebody complains about you

I feel bad right now. Why? Cos' I just being called to the principal room. One of my students' parents talked bad about my tuition class, well ... what do you think they might say about?

Sigh. This is really bad. The parents complained that I didn't teach their son. And I talk less. I was in utter shock. Did I? oh my gosh, why he said like that, it was a lie. I did teach and explain to him in his maths study. He's the one who kept playing around, not serious in his study and wasting time. He was. This wondering why kept playing around my mind and forcing me to confront the student.

So what happened just now is, he came to my room after school and asked him about the issue. Then, what do you expect him to say? Well, I have no idea if he's really honest in every words he said. But here is his explanation. He's a bit surprise, I know from his tone. 

He said: my mom must be misheard & misunderstood! I said to her that you teach me when I don't understand a question. Not that you didn't teach me. I will call my mother now and scold her for this.

I said: no need. Tell you this, it doesn't matter if you wanted to go to other tuition, it is about your parents perception about me & my teaching. I feel bad cos' I did teach you and you're the one who playing around and wasting time with the computer and your silly jokes. Even so, I still treat you well but this is what I get?? 

He kept saying sorry to me and promised to make it clear to his mother and the principal soon. I just kept silent and didn't say a thing cos' I feel like I want to cry lol. An hour after, the principal called me again ... This time I feel relief.

The principal: I have a discussion with the student just now. He just wanted to clear everything's right for what has happened cos' he doesn't want you to feel bad (laughing). He said it was just a misunderstood, he doesn't want to go to other tuition but his mother asked him to. He wanted to stay here cos' here the teacher focus on him only but there, is like many students inside. So yea, just want to let you know nothing to worry about.

Heard her explanation make me smile again:) I know I did the right thing. Thanks God, everything's clear and right, at last. Thanks to that student also, for clarify everything. Hehehehehe ... 


I believe this is one of the challenge of being a teacher. I believe it is not easy but when you have sincere heart to teach, everything's gonna be okay. You just need some courage and patience to face all the odds against you. They are many. But they could be nothing to you ;) Teachers outta here, Good luck to teach your student well. They need us to become what they wanted to be in the future:)
